Why Marefat e AhleBait (as) ???

Narrated from Imam Ali ibn Hussain (as), Who said:

عن علي بن الحسين بن علي ع قال إن الله افترض خمسا و لم يفترض إلا حسنا جميلا الصلاة و الزكاة و الحج و الصيام و ولايتنا أهل البيت فعمل الناس بأربع و استخفوا بالخامسة و الله لا يستكملوا الأربع حتى يستكملوها بالخامسة

Allah has made five duties mandatory and everything that Allah makes mandatory is beautiful; Salaat, Zakaat, Hajj, Siyaam and the Wilayat of AhlulBait (as).
People obeyed/acted on the first four and ignored the fifth one (Wilayat). I swear to Allah that the first four are not complete without the fifth one (Wilayat).

Imam Husain (as) narrates from the Messenger of Allah (swt) who said:

إلزموا مودتنا أهل البيت ، فانه من لقى الله يوم القيامة وهو يودنا دخل الجنة بشفاعتنا ، والذي نفسي بيده لا ينفع عبدا عمله إلا بمعرفة حقنا

Adhere/Commit to our love, the Ahlul Bait. Those who meet Allah on the day of judgment with our love will enter paradise with our intercession. I swear to Allah that those who do not know our true status (Marefat) will not benefit from their deeds.

Allah (swt) says in Hadees e Kisa that everything has been created in the love of AhleBait (as).

Allah(swt) has also said in Hadees-e-Qudsi that:
لواجتمع الناس كلهم على ولاية علي ما خلقت النار

"If everyone would have gathered on the Wilayat of Imam Ali (as) I would not have created Hell."

[Source: Bihar Al Anwar Vol.39, Pg247]

This means that heaven has been created only for those who accept the Wilayat of Imam Ali (as).

Since everything has been created in the love of AhleBait(as), heaven is for those who accept the Wilayat of AhleBait(as) and hell for those who deny their Wilayat, it is very important to know i.e. have marefat regarding who are the AhleBait(as) and why has Allah(swt) granted them such a special status?

In the Holy Qur’an Allah (swt) says:

إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ لِيُذْهِبَ عَنْكُمُ الرِّجْسَ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ وَيُطَهِّرَكُمْ تَطْهِيرًا

"Verily, Allah has decreed to purify you, O' Ahlul Bayt, and sanctify you in a perfect way" [Holy Quran- 33:33]

At another place it is mentioned that:

إِنَّمَا وَلِيُّكُمُ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا الَّذِينَ يُقِيمُونَ الصَّلَاةَ وَيُؤْتُونَ الزَّكَاةَ وَهُمْ رَاكِعُونَ

"Allah (swt) is your wali and the Holy Prophet (saww) and those establish prayer and give zakat when they are in the state of ruku in Namaz."
[Holy Quran- 5:55]

In one more place Allah (swt) says:

وَاسْتَعِينُوا بِالصَّبْرِ وَالصَّلَاةِ

"Seek help from sabr and Salaat" [Holy Quran- 2:45]

…Who/what is this sabr and Salaat???

In the Holy Quran it is mentioned that Holy Prophet (saww) tell his umma that he does not want anything in return or ajr from his umma other than the mawaddat (love) of his near ones (AhleBait) Holy Quran- 42:23 ….Who are the near ones of the Holy Prophet (saww)??

Then Allah (swt) says “O Prophet (saww) convey to them what you have received from your Lord and if you do not do it then you have not conveyed your prophet hood” and then Allah (swt) says” On this day I have completed the religion and my bounties and …..” Holy Quran- 5:3/57. What was this message that was so imp for the completion of religion and without which Holy Prophets(saww) prophet hood was incomplete???

All the above mentioned ayahs and ahadeeses highlight the importance of AhleBait (as) and that without believing, following and accepting their Wilayat nobody will attain salvation….

So it is very important for everyone to know who these divine personalities are and what are the virtues which Allah (swt) has given them.

In today’s world where are there are lots of people and organisations working on spreading worldly education and improving the financial condition of our community but there are very few people and organisations who are specifically working with the aim of spreading the virtues of Masoomeen(as) and our duties towards them in this life. Keeping this in view we have launched www.marefateahlebait.com with motive of spreading the virtues of Masoomeen (as).
