The Purpose of this page is to highlight the status & authority of the AhlulBait (as) from the verses of the Holy Quran and Tafsir from the narrations of the Imam's (as).

Belief based upon Quran:

أخبرني الشيخ أبو محمّد الحسن بن الحسين بن بابويه رحمه‌ الله إجازة ، ونسخت من أصله وقرأت عليه في خانقانه بالري سنة عشرة وخمسمائة ، عن عمّه محمّد بن الحسن ، عن أبيه الحسن بن الحسين ، عن عمّه أبي جعفر محمّد بن علي ، قال : حدّثني محمّد بن علي بن ماجيلويه ، عن علي بن إبراهيم ، عن أبيه ، عن محمّد بن أبي عمير ، عن جميل بن دراج ، عن حكم بن أيمن ، عن محمّد الحلبي ، قال : قال لي أبو عبدالله عليه‌ السلام : أنّه من عرف دينه من كتاب الله عزّ وجلّ زالت الجبال قبل أن يزول ، ومن دخل في أمر بجهل خرج منه بجهل قلت : وما هو في كتاب الله ؟ قال : قول الله عزّ وجلّ : ( مَا آتَاكُمُ الرَّسُولُ فَخُذُوهُ وَمَا نَهَاكُمْ عَنْهُ فَانتَهُوا )

وقوله عزّ وجلّ : ( مَّن يُطِعِ الرَّسُولَ فَقَدْ أَطَاعَ اللهَ )

وقوله عزّ وجلّ : ( يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَطِيعُوا اللهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ وَأُولِي الأَمْرِ مِنكُمْ )

وقوله تبارك وتعالى : ( إِنَّمَا وَلِيُّكُمُ اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا الَّذِينَ يُقِيمُونَ الصَّلاةَ وَيُؤْتُونَ الزَّكَاةَ وَهُمْ رَاكِعُونَ )

وقوله جلّ جلاله : ( فَلا وَرَبِّكَ لا يُؤْمِنُونَ حَتَّىٰ يُحَكِّمُوكَ فِيمَا شَجَرَ بَيْنَهُمْ ثُمَّ لا يَجِدُوا فِي أَنفُسِهِمْ حَرَجًا مِّمَّا قَضَيْتَ وَيُسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيمًا )

وقوله عزّ وجلّ : ( يَا أَيُّهَا الرَّسُولُ بَلِّغْ مَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ وَإِن لَّمْ تَفْعَلْ فَمَا بَلَّغْتَ رِسَالَتَهُ وَاللهُ يَعْصِمُكَ مِنَ النَّاسِ )

ومن ذلك قول رسول الله صلى‌ الله‌ عليه‌ وآله لعلي عليه‌ السلام : من كنت مولاه فعليّ مولاه ، اللهم وال من والاه وعاد من عاداه ، وانصر من نصره واخذل من خذله ، وأحبّ من أحبّه وابغض من أبغضه 

Narrated that Abu AbdAllah Imam Sadiq (عليه السلام) said,

“Indeed, whoever knows his religion from the Book of Allah (عز وجل), the mountains will move before he moves, and whoever enters into a matter with ignorance will exit from it with ignorance.” 

I (the narrator) said: “And what is it in the Book of Allah?

The Imam said: “The saying of Allah (عز وجل): “Whatever the Messenger gives you, take it, and whatever he forbids you from, refrain from it” (59:7)

And the saying of Allah (عز وجل): “Whoever obeys the Messenger has obeyed Allah” (4:80)

And the saying of Allah (عز وجل): “O you who have believed, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you” (4:59)

And the saying of Allah (تبارك وتعالى): (Your guardian is only Allah and His Messenger and those who have believed - those who establish prayer and give zakat while they bow” (5:55)

And the saying of Allah (جل جلاله): “But no, by your Lord, they will not [truly] believe until they make you, [O Prophet], a judge concerning that over which they dispute among themselves and then find within themselves no discomfort/dislike from what you have judged and submit in [full, willing] submission” (4:65)

And the saying of Allah (عز وجل): “O Messenger, deliver that which has been revealed to you from your Lord, and if you do not, then you have not conveyed His message. And Allah will protect you from the people” (5:67)

And from that is the saying of the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله) to Ali (عليه السلام): “Of whomsoever I am his Master [Mawla], Ali is his Master [Mawla]. O Allah, befriend whoever befriends him and be an enemy to whoever is an enemy to him, and support whoever supports him and forsake/leave whoever forsakes/leaves him, and love whoever loves him and hate whoever hates him.”

Tafseer of Bismillah:

حدثنا محمد بن الحسن بن أحمد بن الوليد، قال: حدثنا محمد بن الحسين الصفار، عن العباس بن معروف، عن صفوان بن يحيى، عمن حدثه، عن أبي عبد الله (عليه السلام): أنه سئل عن  (بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم) ؟ فقال: " الباء بهاء الله، والسين سناء الله، والميم ملك الله. قال: قلت: الله ؟ قال: الألف آلاء الله على خلقه من النعيم بولايتنا، واللام إلزام الله خلقه على ولايتنا. قلت: فالهاء ؟ فقال: هوان لمن خالف محمدا وآل محمد صلوات الله عليهم أجمعين

The narrator says, I asked Imam Sadiq (عليه السلام) about "بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم".

The Imam (as) said, 'BA' is the Beauty/Magnificence of Allah, 'Seen' is for Majesty/Exaltedness of Allah, 'Meem' is for Kingdom of Allah. 

The narrator says, "what is meant by "Allah"?

The Imam (as) said, 

'Alif' stands for the Blessing [Nemat] of our Mastership [Wilayat] upon Allah creations.

'Laam' stands for the obligation of our Mastership [Wilayat] upon Allah creations. 

And 'Ha' stands for disgrace for those who oppose Muhammad and family of Muhammad (صلوات الله عليهم أجمعين)."
