64: Al-Taghaabun

Chapter: 64, Verse: 2

"It is He Who has created you; and of you are some that are Unbelievers, and some that are Believers: and Allah sees well all that you do" [64:2]

Muhammad bin Yahya, from Ahmad bin Muhammad from Ibn Mahboob, from Al-Hasan (Al-Husain) bin Naeem Al-Sahhaf who said:

I asked Aba Abdillah (as) about the saying of Allah (swt) "And of you are some that are Unbelievers, and some that are Believers" [64:2]. Imam (as) said, "Allah (swt) knew their faith (Eeman) due to our Wilayat and knew their disbelief (Kufr) due to it (our Wilayat) on the day He took the covenant from them in the loins of Adam (as) and they were particles."

And I (narrator) asked Him (as) about the saying of Allah (swt), "Obey Allah and the Messenger, but if you turn away, know that the only duty of Our Messenger is to clearly preach." [64:12].

Imam (as) said, "By Allah (swt)! None have been destroyed who were before you and none will be destroyed up-to the rising of our Qaim (atfs) but due to rejecting Our Wilayat and denial of Our rights. And the Prophet (saww) did not leave from the world untill He had obligated our rights upon the necks of this Ummah. And Allah (swt) guides whom He wishes towards the right path."
