Imam Sadiq (as) said to Haseen bin Abd al-Rahman: "O Haseen, do not undervalue our love, surely it is from the everlasting goodness."

Haseen said, "O son of the Prophet (saww), I do not undervalue it, but praise Allah (swt) for it."

Hadith 3:

Abi Zubair al-Makki said, "I saw Jabir, supporting/resting on his stick going to the streets and gatherings of the Ansars and saying, "Ali (as) is the best Human being, whoever refuses this has done kufr (disbelieved). O' people of Ansar, discipline/educate your children upon the love of Ai (as), then whoever rejects His love then have a look at the character of his mother."

Hadith 5:

Aba Abdillah Imam Sadiq (as) said, "The one who loves Us for the sake of Allah (swt), Allah (swt) will give him benefits even if he is a captive in the hands of Deelam. And the one who loves Us for the sake of other than Allah (swt), then Allah (swt) will deal with him as He wishes. Verily the love of us the AhlulBait (as) drops off the sins from the people just like the strong winds drop-off the leaves from the trees."

Hadith 7:

Narrated by Hanash Ibn Al-Mo'tamir that he said to Amir al-Momineen (ع):

"Peace be upon you O Amir al-Momineen and Allah's mercy and blessings. How was your evening?"

Imam (ع) said: "I did my evening Loving those who love Us, hating those who hate us. Those who love us spend their evening covered with mercy from Allah that they have been expecting. And Our enemies spend their evening building their constructions on the edge of a cliff that collapsed with them into the fire of hell."

"The doors of heaven are open to its inhabitants. Congratulations to the people of mercy for the mercy they earned. Misery is to the people of hell, hell is for them."

"O Hanash, whoever wishes to know whether he loves Us or hates Us has to test his heart. If he loves Our lovers, then he doesn't hate Us. If he hates Our lovers, then he doesn't love Us. Allah has made an agreement/covenant with Our lovers to love Us and wrote the names of our haters in the texts. We are the elite/distinguished/superior ones and our descendants are the descendants of prophets."

Hadith 8:

Narrated that Abu Jafar Imam Baqir (عليه السلام) said,

"Whoever wants to know if he is from the people of Paradise, let him present Our love to his heart, if he accepts it, he is a believer.

And whoever loves Us, he should desire/wish to visit the gave of al-Husain (عليه السلام).

So whoever is a visitor (Zuwwar) of al-Husain (عليه السلام), we recognize him as a lover of Us Ahl al-Bayt (عليهم السلام) and he is one of the people of Paradise.

And Whoever is not a visitor of Husain (عليه السلام) is deficient (Naqis) in faith."

Narrated from Abu Abd-Allah al-Sadiq (عليه السلام) from his forefathers (عليهم السلام) that the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله) said,

"Islam is bare, its dress is modesty (Hayaa), and its adornment/beauty (zeenat) is loyalty (wafaa), its chivalry(good mannerism) is good deeds, and its support is piety. And everything has a foundation, and the foundation of Islam is loving Us, the AhlulBayt (عليهم السلام)."

Narrated that Imam Jafar bin Muhammad (عليه السلام) said,

Narrated from Imam Hasan ibn Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Musa ibn Jafar ibn Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Husayn ibn Ali ibn Abi Talib (عليه السلام) from His father, from his forefathers (عليهم السلام) that the Prophet of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله) said to one of His companions one day,

“O Servant of Allah, love for the sake of Allah, hate for the sake of Allah, befriend for the sake of Allah, and have enmity for the sake of Allah. Indeed, you will not attain friendship of Allah except by that. And no man will find the taste of faith, even if his prayers and fasting are many, until he does that. And the brotherhood between people these days is mostly based on worldly affairs, they love each other for the world, and they hate each other for it, and that does not benefit them from Allah in anything."

The companion said to the Prophet (ص), "How can I know that I have befriended and have enmity for the sake of Allah (عز وجل), and who is the friend of Allah (عز وجل) so that I may befriend him, and who is His enemy so that I may have enmity with him?"

The Prophet of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله) pointed to Ali (عليه السلام) and said, "Do you see Him?"

The companion said, "Yes."

The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله) said, "The friend of Him is the friend of Allah, so befriend him. And His enemy is the enemy of Allah, so have enmity with him. And befriend the friend of His, even if he is the killer of your father and your son. And have enmity to His enemy, even if he is your father and your son."

Narrated that Abu Abd-Allah Imam Sadiq (عليه السلام) said,

"Whoever finds the coolness of Our love in his heart, then he should thank Allah for the very first blessing."

I (the narrator) said, "May I be sacrificed for You, what is the first of blessings?"

The Imam (عليه السلام) replied, "Noble birth"
