Oppression upon Fatimah Zahra (sa)

Hadith 1:

Part of a narration as narrated from Imam Musa Kazim (عليه السلام):

When the day came when the Prophet's (صلى الله عليه وآله) illness worsened and it was feared that He would die ...

The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله) said, "O Ali (عليه السلام) come close to me, so Imam Ali (عليه السلام) came close and the Prophet took the hand of Fatimah (عليها السلام) and placed it on His chest and took the hand of Ali (عليه السلام) with His other hand."

When the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله) intended to speak He was overcome by crying/tears and was not able to speak anything. So Fatimah (عليها السلام) cried intensely and Ali, Hasan & Husain (عليهم السلام) cried due to the crying of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله)"

The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله) then placed the hand of Fatima (عليها السلام) in the hand of Imam Ali (عليه السلام) and said, "O Abal Hasan ع, this is the trust (Amanah) of Allah (عز وجل) and the trust of His Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله) with You, so protect it. And surely You will do it O Ali (عليه السلام)"

"O Ali (عليه السلام) - Woe be upon those who oppresses Her and woe be upon those who snatch Her rights and woe be upon those who violate Her esteem/respect and woe be upon those who burn Her door and woe be upon those who hurt her unborn child and break/fracture Her side near the ribs and woe be upon those who troubled Her & came to fight her."

Hadith 2:

From" Kitab al-Turf" of Sayed ibn Taoos quoting from "Kitab al-Wassiyah of Shaikh Isa bin al-Mustafaad" from Imam Musa bin Jafar al-Kazim (عليه السلام) from is Father (عليه السلام):

"When Prophet Mohammad (صلى الله عليه وآله) was about to die, He called the Ansaar's and said, ...

"Indeed the door of Fatema (عليها السلام) is My door, and Her house is My house. So whoever disgraces it has disgraced the Hijaab (veil/covering) of Allah (عز وجل)."

The narrator Isa then says, "Abu al-Hasan Imam Kazim (عليه السلام) then cried for long and cut of rest of his speech and said, "By Allah the Hijaab of Allah was torn apart, By Allah the Hijaab of Allah was torn apart, By Allah the Hijaab of Allah was torn apart, O My Mother (صلوات الله عليها)..."

Hadith 3:

Who witnessed against Fatemah Zahra (sa) in the matter of inheritance?

From Hanan bin Sadeer who said, Sadaqah bin Muslim asked Abu Abd-Allah Imam Sadiq (عليه السلام) while I was with him,

"Who witnessed against Fatema (عليها السلام) that She does not inherit from Her Father?"

Imam (عليه السلام) said, "Aishah, Hafsah and man called Aus bin Hadasan from the tribe 'Bani Nadhr' testified in front of Abu Bakr that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله) said, "I am not inherited", and so they denied Fatemah (عليها السلام) Her inheritance from Her Father (صلى الله عليه وآله)."

Hadith 4:

From a long hadith as narrated from Abu Abd-Allah Imam Sadiq (عليه السلام) regarding the Journey of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله) to the heavens (Meraj):

Allah (عز وجل) says to the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله):

"As for your daughter, She will be oppressed and deprived, Her rights will be taken away forcefully which You had granted to Her. She will be beaten while bearing Her child. They will come to Her, enter Her sacred place & enter Her home without permission. She will face insult & humiliation and She will find no one to stop it. She will suffer a miscarriage because of the beating (darb) and She will die as a result of that beating."

Hadith 5:

From a long Hadith narrated in the book of Sulaym bin Qays describing the events after the passing away of Prophet Muhammad

Then Fatimah (عليها السلام) said, “O Umar, what do We have to do with you?”

Umar said, “Open the door or else we will burn your house upon you.”

Fatimah (عليها السلام) said, “O Umar, are you not afraid of Allah, you are entering My house?”

Umar refused to leave, and he asked for fire and set the fire in the door and pushed the door and entered the house, so Fatimah (عليها السلام) came in front of him and screamed saying, ‘O Father, O Prophet of Allah’.

Then Umar raised his sword while it was in the cover, he hit Her on the side. So, Fatimah (عليها السلام) cried saying, ‘O Father’. Then Umar raised his whip and hit Her on the arm, so She called out, ‘O Prophet of Allah, how evil Abu Bakr & Umar have been after You.’

Hadith 6:

Narrated that Abu Abd-Allah Imam Sadiq (عليه السلام) said,

"When they did what they did, Fatimah (عليها السلام) grabbed Umar by his collar and pulled him towards herself and said, “By Allah, O son of al-Khattab, had I not disliked that affliction befalls those who have no fault, you would have known that I would swear upon Allah (i.e. pray for punishment upon Umar & his men) and then I would find him very quick to answer."

Hadith 7:

Narrated through a chain of trustworthy & reliable narrators that Abu Abd-Allah Imam Sadiq (عليه السلام) said,

"Fatima (عليها السلام) was born on the 20th of Jamadi al-Aakhira, 45 years after the birth of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله)."

"She resided in Makkah for eight years, and in Madinah for ten years, and lived for seventy-five days after the death of her Father. And she passed away on Tuesday the 3rd of Jamadi al-Aakhira in the eleventh year of Hijrah."

"And the reason for Her death is that Qunfudh, slave of Umar, hit Her with the bottom of the sheath of the sword by the order of his master (i.e., Umar), so She miscarried Muhsin. She fell seriously sick because of that incident, and She did not let anyone who harmed her to meet Her."

"Two men (Abu Bakr and Umar) from among the companions of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله) requested Amir al-Momineen (عليه السلام) to intercede on their behalf with Her. He requested Her, and She agreed. When they entered, they asked her, "O Daughter of the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله)! How are you doing?"

She said, "Well, all Praise is due to Allah."

Then She said to them, "Did you not hear the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله) say, ‘Fatima (عليها السلام) is part of Me; whoever harms Her, harms me, and whoever harms Me harms Allah?"

They both said, "Yes".

She said, "By Allah! You both have harmed Me."

They both went out while She was still angry with them.

Hadith 8:

Narrated that Ali ibn Abi Talib (عليه السلام) said,

"While, I, Fatimah and al-Hasan and al-Husayn (عليهم السلام) were with the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله), suddenly He turned His face towards Us and started crying."

I said: "Why do you weep, O Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله)?

He said: "I weep because of what will be done to You all after Me."

I said: "And what is that, O Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله)?"

He said: "I weep over You being hit on the head and the slapping of Fatima (عليها السلام) on her cheek and the stabbing of al-Hasan (عليه السلام) in the thigh and the poison which he will be made to drink and the killing of al-Husayn (عليه السلام)."

He said: "So, the Ahl al-Bayt (عليهم السلام) all wept together."

Then I said: "O Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله)! Our Lord did not create Us except for trial."

He said: "Rejoice, O Ali (عليه السلام), for Allah has commited to Me that none shall love You except a believer and none shall hate You except a hypocrite."

Hadith 9:

Part of a long hadith as narrated from Prophet Muhammad

"When I saw Her (i.e. Fatima عليها السلام), I remembered what would happen to Her after Me. It is as if I am with Her, as disgrace enters Her home, and Her sanctity/respect is violated, and Her right is taken away, and She is prevented from Her inheritance, and Her side (rib) is broken, and Her fetus is miscarried as She calls, O Muhammad (ص) and She is not answered and She calls for help but is not helped."

"So She will be the first one to join Me from My family. She will come to Me grieving, distressed, sorrowful, robbed, and killed. At that, I will say, ‘May Allah curse those who oppressed Her, and punish those who robbed Her, and humiliate those who humiliated Her, and make him remain in fire forever who hit her side (rib) and caused Her miscarriage.’ At that, the angels will say 'Amen.'"

Hadith 10:

Narrated that Imam Hasan ibn Ali (عليه السلام) gave a speech when signing the peace treaty with Muawiya and below is a section of what the Imam said,

"However, since the death of the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله), We – The AhlulBayt (عليهم السلام), have been constantly afraid, oppressed, and persecuted. Allah is (the judge) between Us and those who have wronged Us in Our rights, those descended upon Our necks and placed the people on Our shoulders. They have prevented Us from Our share in the Book of Allah from the spoils of war and the booty and have prevented Our Mother Fatima (عليها السلام) from Her inheritance from Her Father."
