"Stop when you arrive at the door. Express the two testimonies after you have performed the ritual bathing (Ghusl). And then when you enter and see the tomb, stop and say God is the Greatest thirty times. Then take short steps, be serene and calm, and approach the tomb. ~ Authenticity of Ziyarah al Jamia al Kabeera ~

Sheikh Sadooq:

"And I have mentioned in this book of Ziaraat, and in book of Maqtal ul Husain (asws) different Ziaraats, and I took in this book The most Authentic Ziarah in my view in terms of path/chain of narrators. And in it are messages and adequacy."

~ Notable points about the Status of the Imam's (as) from Ziyarah al Jamia al Kabeera ~

For the Imam's (as) that have passed away, we have the following words in the Ziyarat which prove that the status/position/authority/Wilayat of the Imam's (as) remains the same even after their death.

"I testify that was was said earlier is for you in the past and will continue to be for your in the future."

1) AhlulBait (as) are Created as light (noor):

"Allah (swt) created You all as Light (Noor) and then placed You surrounding his Arsh"

2) AhlulBait (as) the reason/source for blessings:

"And because of You He sends down abundant rain. And because of You the sky is held from falling on the earth, except with His permission. And because of You He drives away sufferings and removes harm."

3) Muqassir will Perish:

"And the one who falls short regarding your rights is perished."

4) Loving AhlulBait (as) is Loving Allah (swt):

"Whoever is your friend is indeed Allah's (swt) friend. Whoever is your enemy is indeed Allah's (swt) enemy. Whoever loves you indeed loves Allah (swt). And whoever hates you indeed hates Allah (swt)."

5) Seeking Protecting with the Imams and their graves and seeking our needs:

"I seek protection in you, I make visits to you, I resort to and seek protection in your graves, I seek your intercession for me with Allah the Almighty and All-majestic, I seek nearness to Him in your names, I put you forward as my means for seeking fulfillment of my desires, needs, and wishes."

"Ya Wali Allah! Indeed there are sins between God - the mighty and tremendous - and me, that cannot be removed except by your pleasure; so by the one who has trusted you with His secret, and has assigned you to supervise the affairs of His creations, and attached the obedience to Him with the obedience to you, seek the pardon of my sins, and you are my intercessors."

6) Imam's (as) act as per the commands of Allah (swt):

"The honored slaves of Allah (swt) who do not go ahead of Him in speech and They act as per His commands"

7) We are Momin and Kafir !!

"I am a believer (Momin) in You all and in that in which You believe. I am a disbeliever (Kafir) of Your enemies and of everything you disbelief in"

8) Imams are the Defenders and Protectors:

"The Defenders, The Protectors"

9) Imams are Superior (Afdal) to the Prophets:

"Thus, Allah has raised You to the most elevated place of the honored ones, the highest station of those drawn near to Him, and the loftiest ranks of the Messengers (*)"

(*)  Allamah Muhammad Taqi Majlisi in his commentary on Ziyarat Jamiyah says regarding this section:

"It’s referring to the ranks of our Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله), hence this makes it necessary to consider them superior (Afdal) over the other prophets."
