Hadith 2:

Narrated that Imam Jafar Sadiq (as) said:

"Fasting on the day of Ghadeer is equivalent to fasting throughout the entire age of the world… It is the greatest festival of Allah. Allah has not sent any prophet but that he celebrated this day as Eid and was aware of its sanctity. It is known in the heavens as ‘The Day of the Famous Covenant’… You might think that Allah, the mighty and the majestic, has created a day more sacred than that. No, by Allah! No, by Allah! No, by Allah!"

Hadith 3:

Imam Raza (as) narrates from his father (as):

"Certainly, the day of Ghadir is more famous in the heavens than in the earth… and by Allah, had people truly known the superiority of this day, the angels would have been shaking hands with them ten times a day."

Hadith 4:

Narrated from Hasan bin Rashid, who said:

I asked Aba Abd-Allah, Jafar bin Mohammad (عليه السلام), "Is there an Eid for the believers other than the two Eids and Fridays?"

Imam (عليه السلام) replied, "Yes, there is an Eid greater than them; the day when Amirul Momineen (عليه السلام) was appointed and the Holy Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله)  had made His Authority/Mastership (Wilayah) compulsory on believing men and women at Ghadeer-e- Khum."

I (the narrator) asked, "Which day is that?"

Imam (عليه السلام) replied, "It is the 18 of Dhul Hijjah. And any deed (good) done on that day is equal to deeds done in 80 months. It's advised that on that day remembrance (Zekr) of Allah (عز و جل) and Salawaat upon the Prophet (ص) should be done excessively and one should increase his spending upon his family on that day."

Hadith 5:

Narrated that Imam Jafar bin Mohammad Sadiq (ع) was asked as to what did the Prophet (ص) mean by His saying to Imam Ali (ع), "Of whomsoever, I am their Master, Ali is their Master. O Allah! Befriend his friends and be the enemy of his enemies."

Imam Jafar bin Mohammad (ع) sat up straight and said, "I swear to Allah that people asked the Messenger of Allah (ص) the same question and the Prophet (ص) said,

"Allah is my master and has more authority on me than I do on myself. I do not have any authority on myself compared to His authority on me. I am the master of the believers, and I have more authority on them than they have on themselves. They do not have any authority over themselves compared to my authority (on them). And whomsoever, I have more authority over, then Ali ibn Abi Talib (ع) is their Master & has more authority over them.

Hadith 6:

Ghadeer is not only about Accepting the Wilayah of Imam Ali (as), it is also about rejecting Abu Bakr & Umar:

The below are words from a Supplication (Dua) to be recited on the day of Ghadeer as taught by Imam Sadiq (as):

"Surely it was by Your favor and Your grace that we answered Your call and acknowledged the Prophet (saww) and Amir al-Momineen (as), and disbelieved (rejected) in al-Jibt and al-Taghut (Abu Bakr & Umar). Thus, keep us attached to what we have adhered to. Resurrect us with our Imams, for we believe in them, have confidence in their (authorities and virtues), and are submissive to them"

"And we disbelieved (rejected) in al-Jibt and al-Taghut (Abu Bakr & Umar) and the 4 Idols and their Shia (adherents), their followers and all those who love/befriend them from the Jinn and Men from the start of the times to the end of times."

Hadith 7:

~ The Greatest Amr bil Ma'roof is the Wilayah of Imam Ali (as) ~

Below is from the sermon of Ghadir:

"Behold! The greatest case (chief/leader/head) of enjoining righteous deeds (Amr bil Ma'roof) and forbidding the bad deeds (Nahy an al-Munqar) is comprehending my saying, conveying it to whoever is not present, urging him to accept it, and advising him against violating it, for it is an order from Allah, the mighty and the majestic, and from me. There is no (value or effect for) enjoining (other) recognized deeds and forbidding the detested deeds except with (the recognition of) an infallible leader."

Hadith 8:

Narrated that Imam Ali Ridha (عليه السلام) said in long narration about Eid al-Ghadeer:

"And it is the day on which Jibril commands that a throne of Honor of Allah is setup facing Bait-al-Mamoor and Jibril ascends it and the angels from all the skies gather near it and they praise Mohammad (صلى الله عليه وآله) and seek forgiveness for the Shias of Amir al-Momineen (عليه السلام) and the Imams (عليهم السلام) and for those that love them from amongst the children of Adam."

"And is the day in which Allah commands the honorable writers (who note down the deeds of people) to raise the pens from the lovers and Shias of the AhlulBayt (عليهم السلام) for 3 days from the day of Ghadeer and not to write down any of their sins for the sake of Mohammad, Ali & the Imams (عليهم السلام)."

"And it is the Day in which God increases the (financial) status/position of those who worship Allah on that day, and is generous in spending upon his dependents, himself, and his brothers and Allah sets him free from the fire."

"And the day of relaxation for the believers"

"And the day of abandoning major sins and sins, and the day of worship"

"And its is the day of congratulation/felicitation, you should congratulate each other and when a believer meets his believing brother he should say, ‘All Praise is for Allah who has made form those who hold on to the Mastership (wilayah) of Amir al-Momineen (عليه السلام) and the Imams (عليهم السلام)"

"And it is the day of smiling looking at the faces of the people of faith. Whoever smiles in the face of his (believing) brother on the day of Ghadeer, Allah looks at him on the Day of Judgement with mercy, and will fulfill his thousand needs, and he has built for him a palace of white pearls in heaven and will make his face shine/radiant."

"And it is the day of adornment (zenat), so who adorns himself for the day of Ghadeer Allah will forgive all of his sins be it small or big and Allah will send to him angels who will write down good deeds for him and will raise his stations till day of Ghadeer next year, and if he dies, he dies as a martyr, and if he lives, he will live happily."
