عن المفضل بن عمر ، عن أبي عبد الله ، عن آبائه ، عن أمير المؤمنين ( عليه السلام ) قال : كان ذات يوم جالسا بالرحبة والناس حوله مجتمعون ، فقام إليه رجل فقال: يا أمير المؤمنين إنك بالمكان الذي أنزلك الله به وأبوك يعذب بالنار ؟ فقال [ له ] مه فض الله فاك ، والذي بعث محمدا بالحق نبيا لو شفع أبي في كل مذنب على وجه الأرض لشفعه الله تعالى فيهم ، أبي يعذب بالنار وابنه قسيم النار .ثم قال والذي بعث محمدا بالحق ان نور أبي طالب يوم القيامة ليطفئ أنوار الخلق إلا خمسة أنوار نور محمد ونوري ونور فاطمة ونور الحسن والحسين ومن ولده من الأئمة ، لأن نوره من نورنا الذي خلقه الله عز وجل من قبل خلق آدم بألفي عام

Imam Ali(as) said:

I was sitting in Rohbah and people were sitting around me

Then someone stood up and said. "O Commander of the Believers! It is Allah that has made your status so low and your father will be tortured in Hell."

I(Imam Ali(as)) replied:

Be quiet! May Allah shut your mouth! I swear to Allah, who sent Mohammad(saww) as a prophet, that if my father intercedes for all of the sinners on earth Allah will accept it. How can my father be in Hell, while I, his son, am the one who divides between Paradise and Hell?

I swear to Allah, who sent Mohammad(saww) as the prophet, my father's light on the Day of Judgement exceeds the light of all creatures except the light of five lights: the light of Mohammad(saww), my (Imam Ali's(as)) light, the light of Fatema(sa), the light of Hasan(as) and Husain(as), and the light of the Imams from the sons of Husain(as).

Beware that the light of Abu Taleb(as) is from Our lights. Allah created his light two thousand years before He created Adam.
