Hadith 1: Reason for going to Ziyarat
From the supplication of Imam Sadiq (عليه السلام) for the visitors of Imam Husain (عليه السلام):
"Forgive Me, my brothers & the visitors (zuwwar) of the grave of Imam Husain (عليه السلام) - those who spent their wealth, put their bodies through trouble (in going for Ziyarat):
With the desire of doing good to Us,
And in hope of the reward near You for staying connected with Us,
And for the happiness it will bring to Your Prophet (S),
And in obeying Our commands,
And for the anger it causes to Our enemy.
Through this they seek Your pleasure."

Hadith 2:
Narrated that Imam Sadiq (عليه السلام) said as part of long narration:
"Whoever visits Imam Husayn (عليه السلام) cries for Him,
And the one who does not visit Him grieves over Him.
The (heart of the) one who does see Him burns for him,
And the one who sees the grave of His son (Ali al-Akbar) at this feet, feels intense compassion for Him."

Hadith 3: The Shadow of the visitor of Imam Husain (ع)
Part of a narration from Imam Sadiq (عليه السلام):
"And when the visitor of Imam Husain (عليه السلام) sets out on his journey, his shadow does not fall on anything except that it supplicates for him. Then, when the sun shines upon him, it consumes his sins just as fire consumes firewood. And the sun would not leave any of his sins upon him and he would return back without any sins upon him."

Hadith 4: Love for Ziyarat of Imam Husain (ع)
Narrated that Imam Sadiq (عليه السلام) said:
"When Allah intends good for a person, He places the love of Husain (عليه السلام) and the love of his Ziyarat in his heart.
When Allah intends evil for a person, He places the hatred of Husain (عليه السلام) and the hatred of his Ziyarat in his heart."

Hadith 5: Why do you go for Ziyarat
Narrated that Abu Abd-Allah Imam Sadiq (عليه السلام) said,
"On the Day of Judgment, a caller will call out, "Where are the visitors (zuwwar) of Husain ibn Ali (عليه السلام)?"
So a large number of people, who cannot be counted by anyone other than Allah (تعالى), will stand.
Then Allah will ask them, "What made you go to the Ziyarah of the grave of Ḥusain (عليه السلام)?"
They will reply, “O Lord! We went to him because of our love for the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله) and because of our love for Ali and Fatimah (عليهما السلام) and to sympathize with him because of that which was committed against him."
They will be told, "Here are Muhammad, Ali, Fatimah, Hasan, and Husain (عليهم السلام) - Join them, for you will be with them at their level (in Paradise), follow the flag of the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله)."
Therefore, they will go to the flag of the Messenger of Allah (ص) which will be held by Ali (عليه السلام) and they will remain under its shade, in front of it, to its right, to its left, and behind it until all of them enter Paradise."

Hadith 6: Evidence of loving the AhlulBayt (عليهم السلام)
Narrated that Abu Jafar Imam Baqir (عليه السلام) said,
"Whoever wants to know if he is from the people of Paradise, let him present Our love to his heart, if he accepts it, he is a believer.
And whoever loves Us, he should desire/wish to visit the gave of al-Husain (عليه السلام).
So whoever is a visitor (Zuwwar) of al-Husain (عليه السلام), we recognize him as a lover of Us - the Ahl al-Bayt (عليهم السلام) and he is one of the people of Paradise.
And whoever is not a visitor of Husain (عليه السلام) is deficient (Naqis) in faith."

Hadith 7: Ziyarat of Imam Husain (as) on 15 Shaban
Narrated that Abu Abdullah Imam Sadiq (عليه السلام) said,
"When it is the middle (15th) of Shaban, a caller from the highest horizon announces – “O visitors of the grave of Husayn (عليه السلام), return forgiven. Your reward is with your Lord and Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله), your Prophet.”

Hadith 8: Money spent on Ziyarat
The narrator says - I said to Abu Abd-Allah Imam Jafar al-Sadiq (عليه السلام): "May I be sacrificed for you,! Indeed, your father [Imam al-Baqir (عليه السلام)] used to say regarding the Hajj that for every dirham one spends, he will be recompensed with a thousand dirhams. So what is the reward for one who spends on the journey to your [grand]father, al-Ḥusayn (عليه السلام)?"
The Imam replied: "O Ibn Sinan, for [each] dirham, he is recompensed with a thousand and a thousand, and he continued counting this way ten times. And his rank is elevated by the same measure. And the pleasure of Allah is better for him, and the supplication of Muḥammad (صلى الله عليه وآله), the supplication of the Amir al-Momineen (عليه السلام), and the [rest of the] Imams (عليه السلام) is better for him."

Hadith 9:
Narrated from Abu Abd-Allah Imam Al-Sadiq (عليه السلام) as part of longer narration:
"If the visitor of al-Husain (عليه السلام) knew the joy that enters the heart of the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله), and the joy that reaches Amir al-Mominin (عليه السلام), and Fatimah (عليها السلام), the Imams, and the martyrs from among us—the Ahl al-Bayt; and if he knew the prayers [Dua] they offer for him, the rewards he gains in this life and the hereafter, and what is stored for him with Allah - he would wish that his home was there [near the shrine] for as long as he lived."

Hadith 10:
Narrated from Abu Abd-Allah Imam al-Sadiq (عليه السلام):
"Whoever visits [the grave of] al-Husayn (عليه السلام) seeking reward from Allah—neither out of arrogance, nor pride, nor showoff (riya), nor seeking reputation—his sins will be cleared from him just as a cloth is cleansed with water, leaving no stain upon it.
For every step he takes, a Hajj is recorded for him, and every time he raises his foot, an Umrah is recorded."

Hadith 11:
Narrated that Abu Jafar Imam Baqir (عليه السلام) said,
"If people only knew the virtue (and reward) contained in visiting the grave of al-Husain (عليه السلام), they would have died out of longing [for it], and their souls would have torn apart in regret [over missing it].'"
