Hadith 1: Dua to be recited before and After the Prayers

مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيى ، عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسى ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ النُّعْمَانِ ، عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِهِ :عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ عليه‌السلام ، قَالَ : كَانَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عليه‌السلام يَقُولُ    مَنْ قَالَ هذَا الْقَوْلَ كَانَ مَعَ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ صلى‌ الله‌ عليه‌ وآله‌ و سلم إِذَا قَامَ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ يَسْتَفْتِحَ الصَّلَاةَ : "اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَتَوَجَّهُ إِلَيْكَ بِمُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، وَأُقَدِّمُهُمْ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ صَلَوَاتِي ، وَأَتَقَرَّبُ بِهِمْ إِلَيْكَ فَاجْعَلْنِي بِهِمْ وَجِيهاً فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ وَمِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ ، مَنَنْتَ عَلَيَّ بِمَعْرِفَتِهِمْ ، فَاخْتِمْ لِي بِطَاعَتِهِمْ وَمَعْرِفَتِهِمْ وَوَلَايَتِهِمْ ؛ فَإِنَّهَا السَّعَادَةُ ، وَاخْتِمْ لِي بِهَا ؛ فَإِنَّكَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْ‌ءٍ قَدِيرٌ ، ثُمَّ تُصَلِّي  فَإِذَا انْصَرَفْتَ قُلْتَ اللهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِي مَعَ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ فِي كُلِّ عَافِيَةٍ وَبَلَاءٍ ، وَاجْعَلْنِي مَعَ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ فِي كُلِّ مَثْوًى وَمُنْقَلَبٍ ؛ اللهُمَّ اجْعَلْ مَحْيَايَ مَحْيَاهُمْ ، وَمَمَاتِي مَمَاتَهُمْ ، وَاجْعَلْنِي مَعَهُمْ فِي الْمَوَاطِنِ كُلِّهَا ، وَلَا‌ تُفَرِّقْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُمْ إِنَّكَ عَلى كُلِّ شَيْ‌ءٍ قَدِيرٌ

Narrated from Imam Sadiq (عليه السلام), that Amir al-Momineen (عليه السلام) said, 

"Whoever just before beginning the prayer says the following will be with Muhammad and the family of Muhammad (عليهم السلام),

اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَتَوَجَّهُ إِلَيْكَ بِمُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ 

O Allah, I am turning to You through Muhammad (ص) and His Family (ع)

وَأُقَدِّمُهُمْ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ صَلَوَاتِي 

I keep Them in front of me before my prayer

وَأَتَقَرَّبُ بِهِمْ إِلَيْكَ

and seek nearness to You through Them

فَاجْعَلْنِي بِهِمْ وَجِيهاً فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ وَمِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ 

grant me respect through Them in this world and in the next life and make me of those close (to You)

مَنَنْتَ عَلَيَّ بِمَعْرِفَتِهِمْ 

You have given blessings to me by making me know Them

فَاخْتِمْ لِي بِطَاعَتِهِمْ وَمَعْرِفَتِهِمْ وَ وَلَايَتِهِمْ

So make my end be upon obedience to them, knowing them well, and under their  guardianship (Wilayah)

فَإِنَّهَا السَّعَادَةُ وَاخْتِمْ لِي بِهَا 

for that is the salvation and make my end be with this (belief)

فَإِنَّكَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْ‌ءٍ قَدِيرٌ

Indeed You have power over all things

Then complete the prayer and say,

اللهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِي مَعَ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ فِي كُلِّ عَافِيَةٍ وَبَلَاءٍ

O Allah, place me with Muhammad (ص) and the family of Muhammad (ع), in good health and in suffering

وَاجْعَلْنِي مَعَ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ فِي كُلِّ مَثْوًى وَمُنْقَلَبٍ 

place me with Muhammad (ص) and the family of Muhammad (ع) in every dwelling and place of return

اللهُمَّ اجْعَلْ مَحْيَايَ مَحْيَاهُمْ 

O Allah, help me to live like the life of Muhammad (ص) and the family of Muhammad (ع)

وَمَمَاتِي مَمَاتَهُمْ 

and die like the death of Muhammad (ص) and the family of Muhammad (ع)

وَاجْعَلْنِي مَعَهُمْ فِي الْمَوَاطِنِ كُلِّهَا 

place me with them in all habitations

وَلَا‌ تُفَرِّقْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُمْ

and do not separate me from them

إِنَّكَ عَلى كُلِّ شَيْ‌ءٍ قَدِيرٌ

You have power over all things

Hadith 2: Dua to be recited before the prayer

وعنه، عن أبيه، عن الحسين بن سعيد، عن فضالة، عن أبان، ومعاوية بن وهب قالا: قال أبو عبد الله (عليه السلام): إذا قمت إلى الصلاة فقل: " اللهم إني أقدم إليك محمدا (صلى الله عليه وآله) بين يدي حاجتي وأتوجه به إليك، فاجعلني به وجيها عندك في الدنيا و الآخرة ومن المقربين، اجعل صلاتي به مقبولة وذنبي به مغفورا ودعائي به مستجابا إنك أنت الغفور الرحيم

Narrated from Abu Abd Allah Imam Sadiq (as) that Imam (as) has said, "recite the following when standing up for Prayers

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أُقَدِّمُ‏ إِلَيْكَ‏ مُحَمَّداً (صلى الله عليه وآله) بَيْنَ يَدَيْ حَاجَتِي

O Allah, I put forward Muhammad (ص) in Your presence before my need

وَ أَتَوَجَّهُ بِهِ إِلَيْكَ

and I turn to You through him

فَاجْعَلْنِي بِهِ وَجِيهاً عِنْدَكَ‏ فِي الدُّنْيا وَ الْآخِرَةِ وَ مِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ

So make me, through Him, honorable in Your sight in this world and the Hereafter and include me among those who are brought near (to You)

اجْعَلْ صَلَاتِي بِهِ مَقْبُولَةً

Make my Salah (prayer) accepted through Him

وَ ذَنْبِي بِهِ مَغْفُوراً وَ دُعَائِي بِهِ مُسْتَجَاباً

And my sins forgiven through Him and my supplications answered through Him

إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ

Indeed You are forgiving and merciful

(Hadith is Hasan (good) as per chain of narrators as per Allamah Majlisi in Mir'at al-Uqool, Vol. 15, Pg. 96)

Hadith 3: Dua to be recited after every obligatory prayer

في كتاب جمال الصالحين عن مولانا الصادق (عليه السلام) أنه قال: إن من حقوقنا على شيعتنا أن يضعوا بعد كل فريضة أيديهم على أذقانهم ويقولوا ثلاث مرات: " يا رب محمد عجل فرج آل محمد يا رب محمد احفظ غيبة محمد، يا رب محمد، انتقم لابنة محمد عليها السلام

From the book 'Jamaal al-Saleheen' narrated from Imam Jafar Sadiq (عليه السلام) that the Imam said, From our rights upon our Shias is that, after every obligatory Salah (prayer) they raise their hands up-to their chin and say the following 3 times:

يَا رَبَّ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَجِّلْ فَرَجَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ 

O Lord of Mohammad (ص), Hasten the deliverance of Aal-e-Mohammad (ع)

يَا رَبَّ مُحَمَّدٍ ، احْفَظْ غَيبَةَ محَمَّدٍ 

O Lord of Mohammad (ص), Protect the occultation (Ghaibah) of Mohammad (ع)

يَا رَبَّ مُحَمَّدٍ ، انْتَقِمْ لابْنَةِ مُحَمَّدٍ

O Lord of Mohammad (ص), Take revenge for the daughter of Mohammad (ع)

Hadith 4: Right of the Imam's (as) upon their friends and Shia's to recite the following dua

وَجَدْتُ فِي كِتَابٍ مَجْمُوعٍ بِخَطٍّ قَدِيمٍ ذَكَرَ نَاسِخُهُ وَ هُوَ مُصَنِّفُهُ أَنَّ اسْمَهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ فَاطِرٍ مَنْ رَوَاهُ عَنْ شُيُوخِهِ فَقَالَ مَا هَذَا لَفْظُهُ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ رِقَاقٍ الْقُمِّيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ شَاذَانَ الْقُمِّيُّ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ بَابَوَيْهِ الْقُمِّيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْحِمْيَرِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي هَاشِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي يَحْيَى الْمَدَنِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع أَنَّهُ قَالَ‏ مِنْ حَقِّنَا عَلَى أَوْلِيَائِنَا وَ أَشْيَاعِناَ أَنْ لَا يَنْصَرِفَ الرَّجُلُ مِنْهُمْ مِنْ صَلَاتِهِ حَتَّى يَدْعُوَ بِهَذَا الدُّعَاءِ وَ هُوَ

Narrated from Abi Abdillah Imam Sadiq (as) that it is from the Our rights upon our friends and our Shia's that they should not turn away after their prayers (salah) until they recite this dua:

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِحَقِّكَ الْعَظِيمِ الْعَظِيمِ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ الطَّاهِرِينَ وَ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَيْهِمْ صَلَاةً تَامَّةً دَائِمَةً وَ أَنْ تُدْخِلَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ مُحِبِّيهِمْ وَ أَوْلِيَائِهِمْ حَيْثُ كَانُوا وَ أَيْنَ كَانُوا فِي سَهْلٍ أَوْ جَبَلٍ أَوْ بَرٍّ أَوْ بَحْرٍ مِنْ بَرَكَةِ دُعَائِي مَا تَقَرُّ بِهِ عُيُونُهُمْ احْفَظْ يَا مَوْلَايَ الْغَائِبِينَ مِنْهُمْ وَ ارْدُدْهُمْ إِلَى أَهَالِيهِمْ سَالِمِينَ وَ نَفِّسْ عَنِ الْمَهْمُومِينَ وَ فَرِّجْ عَنِ الْمَكْرُوبِينَ وَ اكْسُ الْعَارِينَ وَ أَشْبِعِ الْجَائِعِينَ وَ أَرْوِ الظَّامِئِينَ وَ اقْضِ دَيْنَ الْغَارِمِينَ وَ زَوِّجِ الْعَازِبِينَ وَ اشْفِ مَرْضَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَ أَدْخِلْ عَلَى الْأَمْوَاتِ مَا تَقَرُّ بِهِ عُيُونُهُمْ وَ انْصُرِ الْمَظْلُومِينَ مِنْ أَوْلِيَاءِ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّلَامُ وَ أَطْفِئْ نَائِرَةَ الْمُخَالِفِينَ اللَّهُمَّ وَ ضَاعِفْ لَعْنَتَكَ وَ بَأْسَكَ وَ نَكَالَكَ وَ عَذَابَكَ عَلَى اللَّذَيْنِ كَفَرَا نِعْمَتَكَ وَ خَوَّنَا رَسُولَكَ وَ اتَّهَمَا نَبِيَّكَ وَ بَايَنَاهُ وَ حَلَّا عَقْدَهُ فِي وَصِيِّهِ وَ نَبَذَا عَهْدَهُ فِي خَلِيفَتِهِ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ وَ ادَّعَيَا مَقَامَهُ وَ غَيَّرَا أَحْكَامَهُ وَ بَدَّلَا سُنَّتَهُ وَ قَلَّبَا دِينَهُ وَ صَغَّرَا قَدْرَ حُجَجِكَ وَ بَدَا بِظُلْمِهِمْ وَ طَرَّقَا طَرِيقَ الْغَدْرِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَ الْخِلَافِ عَنْ أَمْرِهِمْ- وَ الْقَتْلِ لَهُمْ وَ إِرْهَاجِ الْحُرُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَ مَنْعِ خَلِيفَتِكَ مِنْ سَدِّ الثَّلْمِ وَ تَقْوِيمِ الْعِوَجِ وَ تَثْقِيفِ الْأَوَدِ وَ إِمْضَاءِ الْأَحْكَامِ وَ إِظْهَارِ دِينِ الْإِسْلَامِ وَ إِقَامَةِ حُدُودِ الْقُرْآنِ اللَّهُمَّ الْعَنْهُمَا وَ ابْنَتَيْهِمَا وَ كُلَّ مَنْ مَالَ مَيْلَهُمْ وَ حَذَا حَذْوَهُمْ وَ سَلَكَ طَرِيقَتَهُمْ وَ تَصَدَّرَ بِبِدْعَتِهِمْ لَعْناً لَا يَخْطُرُ عَلَى بَالٍ وَ يَسْتَعِيذُ مِنْهُ أَهْلُ النَّارِ الْعَنِ اللَّهُمَّ مَنْ دَانَ بِقَوْلِهِمْ وَ اتَّبَعَ أَمْرَهُمْ وَ دَعَا إِلَى وَلَايَتِهِمْ وَ شَكَّ فِي كُفْرِهِمْ مِنَ الْأَوَّلِينَ وَ الْآخِرِينَ ثُمَّ ادْعُ بِمَا شِئْت‏

"O'Allah, I ask you by your great right, that You send blessings upon Mohammad and His Progeny (as) the pure. And You send blessings upon them that are complete and permanent and that you enter upon Mohammad and His Progeny (as) and their Lovers and their friends wherever they are, in the plains or mountains or land or sea from the blessings of my prayer that which pleases (provides coolness to) their eyes."

"Protect, O my Master, those among them who are away and return them to their families safely and provide relieve to those in grief/distress, provide comfort to those in sorrow, and provide cover to those without any cover, and satiate those who are hungry, and quench (provide water) those who are thirsty, and fulfill the debt of those in debt, and marry off those who are unmarried, and cure the sick Muslims and enter upon the dead that which pleases (provides coolness to) their eyes. And help the oppressed from the friends of the AhlulBait (as) and put out hatred (flame of war) of those who oppose."

"O Allah, increase Your curses, Your terror, Your punishment, Your affliction/suffering upon those 2 (Abu Bakr & Umar) who rejected (kufr) Your blessing, and were disloyal to your Messenger,  and accused your Prophet, and left Him (or contradicted Him), broke His covenant/agreement about His guardian and rejected his covenant/agreement in regards to His Successor after Him.  And made claim to His position and changed His rulings, and altered his tradition (sunnah), and turned upside down his religion, and lowered (belittle) the position/rank of Your Hujjah (proofs) and started/initiated oppression upon them, and setup the path of deception/betrayal upon them, and opposition to their orders, and their killing, raising of wars upon them and prevented Your Khalifah from stopping the rift, and prevented from straightening the crooked, and prevented from execution of the laws, and prevented from manifestation of the the religion of Islam, and prevented from establishing the Hudood of Quran,"

"O Allah, curse those 2 (Abu Bakr & Umar) and their 2 daughters (A'isha & Hafsa) and all those inclined towards their way, and those who follow their example and those who follow their path, and those who lead the innovations (Biddah) they established; A cursing which minds cannot comprehend and from which the dwellers of hell seek refuge."

"Curse O'Allah, those who believe in their (Abu bakr & Umar) saying, and those who obey their orders, and those who call others towards their friendship and those who doubt in these 2 being Kafir from amongst the first and the last ones."

Then ask Dua what you wish.

Hadith 5: Dua in Sujood recited by Imam Baqir (as)

محمد بن يحيى، عن أحمد بن محمد، ومحمد بن الحسين، عن الحسن بن محبوب، عن أبي جعفر الأحول، عن أبي عبيدة الحذاء، قال: سمعت أبا جعفر (عليه السلام) يقول و هو ساجد: " أسألك بحق حبيبك محمد إلا بدلت سيئاتي حسنات وحاسبتني حسابا يسيرا " ثم قال في الثانية: " أسألك بحق حبيبك محمد إلا كفيتني مؤونة الدنيا وكل هول دون الجنة " وقال في الثالثة: " أسألك بحق حبيبك محمد لما غفرت لي الكثير من الذنوب والقليل وقبلت مني عملي اليسير " ثم قال في الرابعة: " أسألك بحق حبيبك محمد لما أدخلتني الجنة و جعلتني من سكانها ولما نجيتني من سفعات النار برحمتك وصلى الله على محمد وآله

Narrated that Abu Jafar Imam Baqir (ع) said when prostrating (Sajdah) 

أَسْأَلُكَ بِحَقِّ حَبِيبِكَ مُحَمَّدٍ إِلاَّ بَدَّلْتَ سَيِّئَاتِي حَسَنَاتٍ وَحَاسَبْتَنِي حِسَاباً يَسِيراً 

"I ask You through the right of Muhammad (ص), Your beloved one, to change my bad deeds to good ones and hold my accountability with ease." 

In the second prostration the Imam said, 

أَسْأَلُكَ بِحَقِّ حَبِيبِكَ مُحَمَّدٍ إِلاَّ كَفَيْتَنِي مَئُونَةَ الدُّنْيَا وَكُلَّ هَوْلٍ دُونَ الْجَنَّةِ 

"I ask You through the right of Muhammad  (ص), Your beloved one, to suffice me in (my) needs in this world and all frightening matters on the way to paradise." 

In the third sajdah the Imam said, 

أَسْأَلُكَ بِحَقِّ حَبِيبِكَ مُحَمَّدٍ لَمَّا غَفَرْتَ لِيَ الْكَثِيرَ مِنَ الذُّنُوبِ وَالْقَلِيلَ وَقَبِلْتَ مِنِّي عَمَلِيَ الْيَسِيرَ 

"I ask You through the right of Muhammad, Your beloved one, to forgive my sins, be it a great deal or a smaller amount and accept my very few good deeds." 

In the fourth sajdah the Imam said, 

أَسْأَلُكَ بِحَقِّ حَبِيبِكَ مُحَمَّدٍ لَمَّا أَدْخَلْتَنِي الْجَنَّةَ وَجَعَلْتَنِي مِنْ سُكَّانِهَا وَلَمَّا نَجَّيْتَنِي مِنْ سَفَعَاتِ النَّارِ بِرَحْمَتِكَ وَصَلَّى الله عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ 

"I ask You through the right of Muhammad, Your beloved one, to admit me in paradise, make me of its dwellers, save me from the effect of fire through Your mercy, and Saulations of Allah be upon Mohammad and His Progeny (ع)."

Hadith 6: Salaat for the fulfillment of needs:

ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله عَنْ زِيَادٍ الْقَنْدِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ الْقَصِيرِ قَالَ دَخَلْتُ عَلَى أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) فَقُلْتُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ إِنِّي اخْتَرَعْتُ دُعَاءً قَالَ دَعْنِي مِنِ اخْتِرَاعِكَ إِذَا نَزَلَ بِكَ أَمْرٌ فَافْزَعْ إِلَى رَسُولِ الله (صلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) وَصَلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ تُهْدِيهِمَا إِلَى رَسُولِ الله (صلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) قُلْتُ كَيْفَ أَصْنَعُ قَالَ تَغْتَسِلُ وَتُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ تَسْتَفْتِحُ بِهِمَا افْتِتَاحَ الْفَرِيضَةِ وَتَشَهَّدُ تَشَهُّدَ الْفَرِيضَةِ فَإِذَا فَرَغْتَ مِنَ التَّشَهُّدِ وَسَلَّمْتَ قُلْتَ اللهمَّ أَنْتَ السَّلاَمُ وَمِنْكَ السَّلاَمُ وَإِلَيْكَ يَرْجِعُ السَّلاَمُ اللهمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَبَلِّغْ رُوحَ مُحَمَّدٍ مِنِّي السَّلاَمَ وَأَرْوَاحَ الأئِمَّةِ الصَّادِقِينَ سَلاَمِي وَارْدُدْ عَلَيَّ مِنْهُمُ السَّلاَمَ وَالسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَرَحْمَةُ الله وَبَرَكَاتُهُ اللهمَّ إِنَّ هَاتَيْنِ الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ هَدِيَّةٌ مِنِّي إِلَى رَسُولِ الله (صلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) فَأَثِبْنِي عَلَيْهِمَا مَا أَمَّلْتُ وَرَجَوْتُ فِيكَ وَفِي رَسُولِكَ يَا وَلِيَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ثُمَّ تَخِرُّ سَاجِداً وَتَقُولُ يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّومُ يَا حَيُّ لاَ يَمُوتُ يَا حَيُّ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ يَا ذَا الْجَلاَلِ وَالإِكْرَامِ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ أَرْبَعِينَ مَرَّةً ثُمَّ ضَعْ خَدَّكَ الأيْمَنَ فَتَقُولُهَا أَرْبَعِينَ مَرَّةً ثُمَّ ضَعْ خَدَّكَ الأيْسَرَ فَتَقُولُهَا أَرْبَعِينَ مَرَّةً ثُمَّ تَرْفَعُ رَأْسَكَ وَتَمُدُّ يَدَكَ وَتَقُولُ أَرْبَعِينَ مَرَّةً ثُمَّ تَرُدُّ يَدَكَ إِلَى رَقَبَتِكَ وَتَلُوذُ بِسَبَّابَتِكَ وَتَقُولُ ذَلِكَ أَرْبَعِينَ مَرَّةً ثُمَّ خُذْ لِحْيَتَكَ بِيَدِكَ الْيُسْرَى وَابْكِ أَوْ تَبَاكِ وَقُلْ يَا مُحَمَّدُ يَا رَسُولَ الله أَشْكُو إِلَى الله وَإِلَيْكَ حَاجَتِي وَإِلَى أَهْلِ بَيْتِكَ الرَّاشِدِينَ حَاجَتِي وَبِكُمْ أَتَوَجَّهُ إِلَى الله فِي حَاجَتِي ثُمَّ تَسْجُدُ وَتَقُولُ يَا الله يَا الله حَتَّى يَنْقَطِعَ نَفَسُكَ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَافْعَلْ بِي كَذَا وَكَذَا قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) فَأَنَا الضَّامِنُ عَلَى الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَنْ لاَ يَبْرَحَ حَتَّى تُقْضَى حَاجَتُهُ

Narrated from Abd al-Rahim al-Qasir who said,

"I visited Abu Abdillah Imam Sadiq (ع) and said, "May I be sacrificed on You, I have invented a Dua." 

Imam said, "Keep your invention away from me. When you face a difficult condition, seek asylum with the Messenger of Allah (ص), perform two Rakat Salah (prayer), as a present to the Messenger of Allah (ص)." 

I (the narrator) asked, "How should I do it?"

Imam said, "Do Gusl, perform two Rak‘at Salah (prayer), begin just as you do in obligatory Salah and read the testimonies (Tashahhud) just as you do in obligatory Salah (prayer)."

At the end of the testimony and Salam say, 

اللهمَّ أَنْتَ السَّلاَمُ وَمِنْكَ السَّلاَمُ وَإِلَيْكَ يَرْجِعُ السَّلاَمُ اللهمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَبَلِّغْ رُوحَ مُحَمَّدٍ مِنِّي السَّلاَمَ وَأَرْوَاحَ الأئِمَّةِ الصَّادِقِينَ سَلاَمِي وَارْدُدْ عَلَيَّ مِنْهُمُ السَّلاَمَ وَالسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَرَحْمَةُ الله وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

“O Lord, You are Salam (peace or safety), from You comes safety, to You returns safety, recite Salawaat upon Mohammad & Aal-e-Mohammad (ع), then say Deliver my salutation to Muhammad (ص) and the spirits of truthful Imams (ع), and to me Salam from them and the blessings of Allah." 

للهمَّ إِنَّ هَاتَيْنِ الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ هَدِيَّةٌ مِنِّي إِلَى رَسُولِ الله (صلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) فَأَثِبْنِي عَلَيْهِمَا مَا أَمَّلْتُ وَرَجَوْتُ فِيكَ وَفِي رَسُولِكَ يَا وَلِيَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

"O Allah, these two Rak‘at Salah are my gift to the Messenger of Allah (ص). Please grant to me the reward that I wished and about which I placed my hopes before You and Your Messenger, O Guardian of the believers."

"Then go to sajdah and say the following 40 times, 

يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّومُ يَا حَيُّ لاَ يَمُوتُ يَا حَيُّ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ يَا ذَا الْجَلاَلِ وَالإِكْرَامِ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ

“O the Living One, the Guardian, the Living who never dies, O the Living One, no one other than You, deserves worship, O the owner of the glory, and grace, O merciful above all merciful ones."

Then place the right side of your face on the ground and say the same forty times. Then place the left side of your face on the ground and say the same forty times. Raise thereafter your head, stretch your hands and say the above forty times."

Then hold your beard with your left hand, weep or make a weeping face and say, 

يَا مُحَمَّدُ يَا رَسُولَ الله أَشْكُو إِلَى الله وَإِلَيْكَ حَاجَتِي وَإِلَى أَهْلِ بَيْتِكَ الرَّاشِدِينَ حَاجَتِي وَبِكُمْ أَتَوَجَّهُ إِلَى الله فِي حَاجَتِي يَا الله يَا الله حَتَّى يَنْقَطِعَ نَفَسُكَ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَافْعَلْ بِي كَذَا وَكَذَا

“O Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah (ص), I complain before Allah and before you about my needs as well as before your Ahl al-Bayt (ع), about my needs, through you I turn to Allah about my needs."

Then make sajdah and say, 

يَا الله يَا الله حَتَّى ... صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَافْعَلْ بِي كَذَا وَكَذَا

“O Allah, O Allah," for a full breath, then recite Salawaat and ask for your wishes."

Imam Sadiq (ع) said, "I guarantee from Allah (عز و جل) that He will not leave your needs and wishes without being fulfilled."
