Another example of Umar's hatred for the AhlulBayt (as)

Narrated through a chain of reliable/trustworhty narrators that Abu Abd-Allah Imam Sadiq (عليه السلام) said,

"There was a woman from the Ansar who used to love Us - the Ahl al-Bayt (عليهم لسلام) - and she would frequently visit Us & offer her support to Us."

Umar bin al-Khattab met her one day while she was on the way to meet Us.

So Umar said to her, "Where are you going O old woman of the Ansar?"

She said, "I am going to Aal-e-Muhammad (عليهم السلام) so as to greet Them, to renew my pledge/commitment to Them, and to fulfill Their rights.

So Umar said to her, "Woe be upon you! They do not have any right over you or over us today. They had that right in the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله), as for today then they do not have any right, so go away."

She went away until she came to Umm Salamah.

Umm Salamah said to her, "What delayed you in coming to Us?"

She said, "I met Umar bin al-Khattab - and she informer her (i.e. Umm Salamah) what she had said to Umar and what Umar had said to to her."

So Umm Salamah said to her, "He (i.e. Umar) has lied. The right of Aal-e-Muhammad (عليهم السلام) will continue to be obligatory (wajib) upon the Muslims until the Day of Judgment."
