The 2 cursed ones being burned

Hadith 1:

وَ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ ابْنُ حُمْرَانَ الْمَدَائِنِيُ‌، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَسْبَاطٍ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْجَارُودِ، عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ)،

ثُمَّ يَدْخُلُ الْمَسْجِدَ فَيَنْقُضُ الْحَائِطَ حَتَّى يَضَعَهُ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ، ثُمَّ يُخْرِجُ الْأَزْرَقَ وَ زُرَيْقَ غَضَّيْنِ طَرِيَّيْنِ، يُكَلِّمُهُمَا فَيُجِيبَانِهِ، فَيَرْتَابُ عِنْدَ ذَلِكَ الْمُبْطِلُونَ، فَيَقُولُونَ: يُكَلِّمُ الْمَوْتَى؟! فَيَقْتُلُ مِنْهُمْ خَمْسَمِائَةِ مُرْتَابٍ فِي جَوْفِ الْمَسْجِدِ، ثُمَّ يُحْرِقُهُمَا بِالْحَطَبِ الَّذِي جَمَعَاهُ لِيُحْرِقَا بِهِ عَلِيّاً وَ فَاطِمَةَ وَ الْحَسَنَ وَ الْحُسَيْنَ (عَلَيْهِمُ السَّلَامُ)؛ وَ ذَلِكَ الْحَطَبُ عِنْدَنَا نَتَوَارَثُهُ، وَ يَهْدِمُ قَصْرَ الْمَدِينَةِ

Narrated that Abu Jafar al-Baqir (عليه السلام) said,

"Then al-Qaim (عليه السلام), will enter the Mosque (in Madina), then He will destroy the wall until it comes down to the ground. Then he will bring out al-Azraq and Zareeq (referring to Abu Bakr & Umar) while they are fresh. He will speak to them and they will answer Him. Then the people of falsehood will doubt this and say, 'He speaks with the dead?'

Then al-Qaim (عليه السلام) will kill 500 of those who doubted in the middle of the Mosque. Then He will burn those two (Abu Bakr & Umar) with the firewood that was collected to burn (the house of) Ali, Fatema, Hasan & Husain (عليهم السلام). And that firewood is with Us, we inherited it and He will bring down the palace of Medina …"

Hadith 2:

وَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ بْنِ مُوسَى، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي (رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ)، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَرْقِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي‌ زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ آدَمَ، قَالَ: إِنِّي لَعِنْدَ الرِّضَا (عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ) إِذْ جِي‌ءَ بِأَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ)، وَ سِنُّهُ أَقَلُّ مِنْ أَرْبَعِ سِنِينَ، فَضَرَبَ بِيَدِهِ‌ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ، وَ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فَأَطَالَ الْفِكْرَ، فَقَالَ لَهُ الرِّضَا (عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ): بِنَفْسِي أَنْتَ، لِمَ طَالَ فِكْرُكَ؟ فَقَالَ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ): فِيمَا صُنِعَ بِأُمِّي فَاطِمَةَ (عَلَيْهَا السَّلَامُ)، أَمَا وَ اللَّهِ لَأُخْرِجَنَّهُمَا ثُمَّ لَأُحْرِقَنَّهُمَا، ثُمَّ لَأُذَرِّيَنَّهُمَا، ثُمَّ لَأَنْسِفَنَّهُمَا فِي الْيَمِّ نَسْفاً. فَاسْتَدْنَاهُ، وَ قَبَّلَ مَا بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْهِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: بِأَبِي أَنْتَ وَ أُمِّي، أَنْتَ لَهَا. يَعْنِي الْإِمَامَةَ.

Narrated from Zakariya bin Adam who said,

"Once I was with Imam Reza (عليه السلام) that Aba Jafar Imam Muhammad Taqi (عليه السلام) came. His age was less that 4 years. He struck his hands on the ground and raised his head towards the sky and thought for long."

Then Imam Reza (عليه السلام) said, "May I be sacrificed for You, What are you thinking for so long?"

Imam Taqi (عليه السلام) said, "I am thinking regarding my (grand) mother Fatema (عليها السلام). By Allah (عز وجل), I will remove those two (abu bakr and umar), then I will burn those two, then I will scatter them & then blow them away in the sea."

Imam Reza (عليه السلام) then got him close & kissed him between his eyes (on the forehead) and said, "My father and mother be sacrificed for you. You are deserving the Imamate."

Hadith 3:

Narrated from Imam Jafar Sadiq (عليه السلام) in a hadith on Me’raj (ascension to the heavens) that Allah (عز وجل) said to Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله):

وهذا القائم الذي يحلل حلالي ويحرم حرامي وبه أنتقم من أعدائي، وهو راحة لأوليائي، وهو الذي يشفي قلوب شيعتك من الظالمين والجاحدين والكافرين، فيخرج اللات والعزى طريين فيحرقهما، فلفتنة الناس يومئذ بهما أشد من فتنة العجل والسامري

"And this is al-Qaim (عليه السلام) who will establish My halal as halal (permissible/lawful) and My haram as haram (forbidden/unlawful).

And through Him (عليه السلام), I will take revenge from My enemies.

And He (عليه السلام) is the source of rest/ease for My friends.

And He (عليه السلام) is the one who will heal the hearts of Your Shias from the oppressors, deniers, and disbelievers.

And He (عليه السلام) will remove 'Laat' and 'Uzza' (referring to Abu bakr and Umar) and burn both of them. The trial (fitna) of the people on that day will be more severe than the trial (fitna) of calf and Samiri."

Note: Samiri was the one who led astray the followers of Prophet Musa (ع) in the absence of Prophet using a calf.

Hadith 4:

Narrrated from Abdul Adheem al Hasani:

فإذا اجتمعت له هذه العدة من أهل الإخلاص، أظهر الله أمره، فإذا كمل له العقد وهو: (عشرة آلاف) رجل خرج بإذن الله، فلا يزال يقتل أعداء الله حتى يرضى عز وجل.قال عبد العظيم: فقلت له: يا سيدي فكيف يعلم أن الله قد رضي؟ قال: يلقي في قلبه الرحمة، فإذا دخل المدينة أخرج اللات والعزى فأحرقهما

Imam Jawad (ع) said, "Allah will make him appear to the people after these (the 313) men will have joined him. He will rise with the permission of Allah after his army of 10,000 men will have formed, and he will continue killing the enemies of Allah until Allah is pleased with him."

I (Abdul Adheem) asked: How will he know Allah is pleased with him?

Imam replied, "Allah will place the mercy in his heart. Then he will enter Medina, and he will exhume Laat and Uzza (from their graves), and he will burn them."

Hadith 5:

أقول: روي في بعض مؤلفات أصحابنا، عن الحسين بن حمدان، عن محمد ابن إسماعيل وعلي بن عبد الله الحسني، عن أبي شعيب [و] محمد بن نصير، عن عمر بن الفرات، عن محمد بن المفضل، عن المفضل بن عمر قال: سألت سيدي الصادق عليه السلام هل للمأمور المنتظر المهدي عليه السلام من وقت موقت يعلمه الناس

قال المفضل: يا سيدي ثم يسير المهدي إلى أين ؟ قال عليه السلام: إلى مدينة جدي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله، فإذا وردها كان له فيها مقام عجيب يظهر فيه سرور المؤمنين وخزي الكافرين. قال المفضل: يا سيدي ما هو ذاك ؟ قال: يرد إلى قبر جده صلى الله عليه وآله فيقول: يا معاشر الخلائق، هذا قبر جدي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله ؟ فيقولون: نعم يا مهدي آل محمد فيقول: ومن معه في القبر ؟ فيقولون: صاحباه وضجيعاه أبو بكر وعمر، فيقول وهو أعلم بهما والخلائق كلهم جميعا يسمعون: من أبو بكر وعمر ؟ وكيف دفنا من بين الخلق مع جدي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله، وعسى المدفون غيرهما. فيقول الناس: يا مهدي آل محمد صلى الله عليه وآله ما ههنا غيرهما إنهما دفنا معه لأنهما خليفتا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وأبوا زوجتيه، فيقول للخلق بعد ثلاث: أخرجوهما من قبريهما، فيخرجان غضين طريين لم يتغير خلقهما، ولم يشحب لونهما

فيقول: هل فيكم من يعرفهما ؟ فيقولون: نعرفهما بالصفة وليس ضجيعا جدك غيرهما، فيقول: هل فيكم أحد يقول غير هذا أو يشك فيهما ؟ فيقولون: لا فيؤخر إخراجهما ثلاثة ايام، ثم ينتشر الخبر في الناس ويحضر المهدي ويكشف الجدران عن القبرين، ويقول للنقباء: ابحثوا عنهما وانبشوهما. فيبحثون بأيديهم حتى يصلون إليهما. فيخرجان غضين طريين كصورتهما فيكشف عنهما أكفانهما ويأمر برفعهما على دوحة يابسة نخرة فيصلبهما عليها، فتحيى الشجرة وتورق ويطول فرعها . فيقول المرتابون من أهل ولايتهما: هذا والله الشرف حقا، ولقد فزنا بمحبتهما وولايتهما، ويخبر من أخفى نفسه ممن في نفسه مقياس حبة من محبتهما وولايتهما، فيحضرونهما ويرونهما ويفتنون بهما وينادي منادي المهدي عليه السلام: كل من أحب صاحبي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وضجيعيه، فلينفرد جانبا، فتتجزء الخلق جزئين أحدهما موال والآخر متبرئ منهما. فيعرض المهدي عليه السلام على أوليائهما البراءة منهما فيقولون: يا مهدي آل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله نحن لم نتبرأ منهما، ولسنا نعلم أن لهما عند الله وعندك هذه المنزلة، وهذا الذي بدا لنا من فضلهما، أنتبرأ الساعة منهما وقد رأينا منهما ما رأينا في هذا الوقت ؟ من نضارتهما وغضاضتهما، وحياة الشجرة بهما ؟ بل والله نتبرأ منك وممن آمن بك ومن لا يؤمن بهما، ومن صلبهما، وأخرجهما، وفعل بهما ما فعل فيأمر المهدي عليه السلام ريحا سوداء فتهب عليهم فتجعلهم كأعجاز نخل خاوية. ثم يأمر بانزالهما فينزلان إليه فيحييهما باذن الله تعالى ويأمر الخلائق بالاجتماع، ثم يقص عليهم قصص فعالهما في كل كور ودور حتى يقص عليهم قتل هابيل بن آدم عليه السلام، وجمع النار لإبراهيم عليه السلام، وطرح يوسف عليه السلام في الجب، وحبس يونس عليه السلام في الحوت، وقتل يحيى عليه السلام، وصلب عيسى عليه السلام وعذاب جرجيس ودانيال عليهما السلام، وضرب سلمان الفارسي، وإشعال النار على باب أمير المؤمنين وفاطمة والحسن والحسين عليهم السلام لاحراقهم بها، وضرب يد الصديقة الكبرى فاطمة بالسوط، ورفس بطنها وإسقاطها محسنا، وسم الحسن عليه السلام وقتل الحسين عليه السلام، وذبح أطفاله وبني عمه وأنصاره، وسبي ذراري رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وإراقة دماء آل محمد صلى الله عليه وآله، وكل دم سفك، وكل فرج نكح حراما، وكل رين وخبث وفاحشة وإثم وظلم وجور وغشم منذ عهد آدم عليه السلام إلى وقت قيام قائمنا عليه السلام كل ذلك يعدده عليه السلام عليهما، ويلزمهما إياه فيعترفان به ثم يأمر بهما فيقتص منهما في ذلك الوقت بمظالم من حضر، ثم يصلبهما على الشجرة و يأمر نارا تخرج من الأرض فتحرقهما والشجرة ثم يأمر ريحا فتنسفهما في اليم نسفا

Narrated in few compilations of our companions from al-Hasan bin Hamadaan, from Muhammad bin Ismail and Ali bin Abdullah al-Husaini, from Abi Shuaib and Muhammad bin Nusayr, from Umar bin al-Furat, from Muhammad bin al-Mufazzal, from Mufazzal bin Amr who said,

I asked my Master Imam Sadiq (as), “Is there any appointed time for the Mahdi (atfs) which the people have been informed of?”

... The narration is very lengthy, only the required part is quoted here ...

Mufazzal said, “O My master, then where al-Madhi (as) will go to? Imam (a) said, “Towards the city of my Grandfather the Messenger of Allah (saww). So when He (as) reaches there, there will be a strange situation which will bring about happiness of the believers and disgrace of the disbelievers.”

Mufazzal said, “What is it?”

Imam (as) said, “al-Qaim The Riser (as) will go towards the grave of his grandfather the Messenger of Allah (saww) and will say, “O the creations, this is the grave of my grandfather the Messenger of Allah (saww)?". They will say, “Yes O the Mahdi of Aale Mohammed (as)”. Al-Qaim (as) will say, “And who is with Him in the grave”? They will say, “His companions and the ones sleeping beside Him; Abu Bakr and Umar”. Al-Qaim (as) will say while He is all knowing about the 2 of them and the all of the creations are listening to him, “Who is are Abu Bakr and Umar? And how come they are buried with My grandfather the Messenger of Allah (saww)”? And there might someone else other than these 2 were buried here. The People will say, “O Mahdi of Aale Mohammed (as), no one is buried here other than these 2. And verily these 2 are buried with Him because they are His Khalifa (successors) and the fathers of his wife’s”. Then al-Qaim (as) will say after three, “Remove the 2 from their graves”. They will be removed from their graves while still fresh/new, their creations not altered and their color not faded”.

Then al-Qaim (as) will say, “Is there any one among you knows them (Abu Bakr and Umar)”? They will say, “We know them by their signs characters and the ones sleeping alongside your Grandfather are not other than these 2. Then al-Qaim (as) will say, “Is there any one among you who says other than this or doubts in these 2 (i.e. the 2 are not Abu Bakr and Umar)”? They will say, “No”. Then al-Qaim (as) will delay the removal of these 2 from the graves by 3 days. Then al-Qaim (as) will spread the news among the people that al-Mahdi (as) has appeared and He will remove the wall from their graves and will say to diggers “Search for the 2 of them and unearth them. Then the Nuqaba will search for them with their hands until they reach them, then they will remove the 2 of them while they are new/fresh like their pictures(?), then al-Mehdi will remove their shrouds (Kafan) and will order to raise them upon a rotten dry large tree, they will be hanged on that tree. Then the tree will come alive and its branches will come out. Then the doubtful from those who accepted the Wilayah (mandate loyalty to) of those 2 will say, “This by Allah (swt) is the true honor and verily we are successful due to their love and their Wilayah. And (by this) al-Mahdi will become aware of those who was hiding his self, those in whose heart was love and Wilayah of those 2.

Then the ones who had a little desire toward them who kept their love hidden will start telling about themselves (show up their love). Then the caller of al-Mahdi (as) will call out saying, “Everyone who loves the companion of the prophet and his partner, get aside on a side.” Thus the creation is divided into two groups, one who loves those 2 and the other who hates those 2. Then al-Mehdi (as) will ask the friends of these 2 to do Baraat (Repudiating) from these 2. They will say, “Ya Mahdi of Aal-e-Mohammed (as) we will not do repudiating from these 2 and we did not know that for these 2 there is such a status/position near Allah (swt) and near you, and what appeared of their virtue. Shall we do tabarrah from these 2 while we are seeing this from these 2 now? Who made these 2 freshness and shortcoming and the tree which became alive due to these 2? Nay! By Allah (swt), we do tabarrah from You, and from those who believe in You and those who don’t believe in these 2 and those who crucified these 2 and dug them out of their graves and did with them what He did. Then al-Mahdi (as) will command a black wind, it will blow them and will make them like a fallen empty stumps of palm trees.

Then al-Mahdi (as) will order the 2 of them to be brought down, they 2 will be brought down to al-Mahdi (as) and He will bring them alive by the permission of Allah (swt) and will order the creations to assemble. He will then narrate to them the actions (crimes) of the 2 of them in every place and time even narrating to them the killing of Habeel bin Adam (as), the gathering of fire for Ibrahim (as), the throwing of Yusuf (as) in the well, the confinement of Yunus (as) in the while, the killing of Yahya (as), the crucifixion of Isa (as), the torment of Jarjees and Danial (as), the strike on Salam al-Farsi, the lightning of fire upon the door of The Commander of The Faithful (as), Fatima (sa), Hasan (as) and Husain (as) so as to burn them. And the strike with the whip upon the hand of the Most Truthful Fatima (as), and the Kick on Her stomach and miscarriage of Mohassin, the poisoning of al-Hasan (as), the killing of al-Husain (as) and the slaughter of his children and cousin’s and his companions. And the capturing of the progeny of the Prophet (saww), and the spilling of the blood of Aal-e-Mohammed (as) and all the blood that was shed and every forbidden sexual sin, and all defilements and obscenity and sin and oppression since the time of Adam (as) up to the coming of our Al-Qaim (as), all of that He will list them upon the 2 of them. And He will hold on to the two of them and the 2 of them will confess. Then he (as) will hang the 2 of them upon the tree and will order the fire, it will come from the earth and will burn the two of them and the tree and will order the wind to scatter the two of them (turn them to dust) in the river.
