Hadith 1:
Selections from a long narration as narrated from Imam Ali Rida (عليه السلام), from His father Musa ibn Jafar (عليه السلام), from His father Jafar bin Muhammad al-Sadiq (عليه السلام), from His father Muhammad bin Ali al-Baqir (عليه السلام), from His father Ali ibn al-Husayn Zayn al-Aabideen (عليه السلام), from His father al-Husayn ibn Ali (عليه السلام), from His father Amir al-Momineen (عليه السلام) who said that the Prophet of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله) gave a sermon one day (on the advent of month of Ramdan):
Imam Ali (عليه السلام) said, “I asked the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله), What are the best deeds to perform during this month (Ramadan)?”
The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله) replied, “O Abu Al-Hasan (عليه السلام), the best deeds to perform during this month are to avoid the prohibitions of Allah (عز وجل).'
Then the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله) cried. I asked him, “What makes you cry?”
The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله) replied, “O Ali (عليه السلام), I weep for what will happen to You during this month. It will be as if I see you praying to your Lord, and the most wretched of the first ones, the one who hamstrung the she-camel of Thamud, will strike you on the head with a blow that will dye your beard with your own blood.”
Imam Ali (عليه السلام) said, “I asked the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله), “Will my religion remain intact in this situation?”
The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله) said, “Your religion will be intact.”
The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله) then added, "O Ali (عليه السلام), Whoever kills you has indeed killed me. Whoever hates you has indeed hated me. Whoever insults (use abusive language against) you have indeed insulted me. This is because you are from me and just like myself. Your spirit is from my spirit. Your clay is from my clay. In fact, Allah (عز وجل) has created me and you and selected me and you. Allah chose me for the Prophethood and chose you for the Imamat (Divine Leadership). Whoever denies your Imamat has, in fact, denied my Prophethood. O Ali (عليه السلام)! You are my Trustee, the father of my grandchildren, the spouse of my daughter, My Caliph over my nation during and after my life. Your orders are my orders. Your prohibitions are my prohibitions. I swear by Him who has sent me with Prophethood and established me as the best of the people, that you are Allah’s Proof upon His creatures, the one entrusted with His Secrets and His Successor over His servants."

Narrated that Asbagh bin Nobatah asked Amir al-Momineen (عليه السلام):
What has prevented you from not applying dye while the Holy Prophet (ص) used to apply it?

Hadith 3:
Describing the event of Martyrdom of Imam Ali (عليه السلام):

By Allah (عز وجل), the pillars of guidance have been demolished.

The cousin of Mohammad al-Mustafa (صلى الله عليه وآله) has been killed.

Hadith 4:
Hujr bin Adee after seeing Imam Ali (ع) injured recited the following words of poetry:
"O My sadness upon the pious Master, the father of the Pure Ones, Haider the Pure,
Killed Him a disbeliever (Kafir), liar, evil, immoral, illegitimate born, wretched,
So, my Lord curses those who deviate away from You and those who stay away (do Bar’a) from You and so do I curse,
Because You are what I have gathered/preserved for the day of gathering (judgement) and You are the family of the guiding Prophet ص"

Hadith 5:
Part of a long narration on the last meeting of Asbagh bin Nubatah with Imam Ali (عليه السلام)
Asbagh says, "I entered upon Amir al-Muminin (عليه السلام) and found him reclining (against a support) with his head wrapped in a yellow turban, having lost lot of blood and His face looking yellow. I could not understand whether His face was more yellow or the turban. So I leaned over Him, kissed Him, and cried."
The Imam said to me, "Do not cry, O Asbagh, for By Allah it is paradise."
I said to Him, "May I be sacrificed for you, I know for sure that You will go to paradise. I only cry for losing you, O Amir al-Muminin (عليه السلام)."

Hadith 6:
Narrated through a chain of reliable narrators from Imam Baqir (عليه السلام):
When Amir al-Momineen (عليه السلام) passed away, al-Hasan bin Ali (عليه السلام) stood in the mosque of Kufa and praised Allah and extolled Him, and sent blessings upon the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله), then said:
"O People, Indeed in this night, a man has passed away, none from the past has gone ahead of Him and none from those to come will be able reach Him.
He was the holder of the banner of the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله), with Jibrael on his right and Mikael on his left.
He would not return back (from battle) until Allah granted him victory.
By Allah, he did not leave behind any white or red (i.e., silver or gold) except for seven hundred dirhams that remained. He intended to buy a servant for his family with them.
By Allah, he passed away on the night in which the successor of Musa, Yusha bin Nun had passed away, and the night in which Isa the son of Maryam was raised to the heavens, and the night in which the Quran was revealed."

Hadith 7:
Narrated that on the day Amir al-Momineen (عليه السلام) passed away, a person came at the door of the house of Amir al-Momineen (عليه السلام) and said,

"And you were the best of them in virtues, and the noblest of them in precedence, and the highest of them in rank, and the closest of them to the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله), and the most similar to him in guidance, character, manners, and actions, and the most noble of them in status, and the most honored of them to him."
"And you were the softest (most humble) of them in voice, the highest of them in devotion (qunūt), the least of them in speech, the most correct of them in speaking, the greatest of them in opinion/insight, the bravest of them in heart, the strongest of them in certainty (yaqeen), the best of them in deeds, and the most knowledgeable of them of matters."
