حدثنا الحسن بن أحمد بن إدريس ـ رضي‌الله‌عنه ـ قال : حدثنا أبي عن محمد ابن الحسين بن أبي الخطاب ، ويعقوب بن يزيد ، ومحمد بن أبي الصهبان جميعا ، عن محمد بن أبي عمير ، عن أبان بن عثمان ، عن الصادق جعفر بن محمد ، عن أبيه ، عن جده عليهم‌السلام ، قال : إن أعرابيا أتى رسول الله صلى‌الله‌عليه‌وآله فخرج إليه في رداء ممشق [١] ، فقال : يا محمد لقد خرجت إلي كأنك فتى. فقال صلى‌ الله‌ عليه‌ وآله : نعم يا أعرابي أنا الفتى ، ابن الفتى ، أخو الفتى. فقال : يا محمد أما الفتى فنعم ، وكيف ابن الفتى وأخو الفتى؟ فقال : أما سمعت الله عزوجل يقول : « قالوا سمعنا فتى يذكرهم يقال له إبراهيم [٢] » فأنا ابن إبراهيم ، وأما أخو الفتى فإن مناديا نادى في السماء يوم أحد لا سيف إلا ذو الفقار ولا فتى إلا علي ، فعلي أخي وأنا أخوه

Narrated from al-Sadiq Ja'far bin Muhammad (عليه السلام), from his father, from his grandfather (عليهم السلام), who said:

Indeed, an Arab (A’arabi) came to the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله). He (the Prophet) came out to him wearing a dyed (colored) cloak.

The Arab  said: "O Muhammad, indeed you have come out to me looking as if you were a youth (fata)!"

The Prophet said: "Yes, O Bedouin, I am the Youth (al-Fata), the son of the Youth, the brother of the Youth."

The Arab asked: "O Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله), as for being the Youth, yes (I understand), but how are you the son of the Youth and the brother of the Youth?"

He (the Prophet) replied: "Have you not heard Allah (عز وجل) say: 'They said, "We heard a youth (fata) mentioning them, he is called Ibrahim (Abraham)" (21:60)? So I am the son of Ibrahim (Abraham). 

And as for the brother of the Youth, indeed a caller called out in the skies on the Day of Uhud - 'There is no sword except Dhul-Fiqar, and no true youth/hero (fata) except Ali (عليه السلام).' So Ali is my brother, and I am his brother."
