001: al-Fateha
قال وحدثني ابي عن محمد بن ابى عمير عن النضر ابن سويد عن ابي بصير عن ابى عبدالله عليه السلام في قوله الحمد لله قال الشكر لله في قوله رب العالمين قال خلق المخلوقين الرحمن بجميع خلقه الرحيم بالمؤمنين خاصة مالك يوم الدين قال يوم الحساب والدليل على ذلك قوله وقالوا ياويلنا هذا يوم الدين يعنى يوم الحساب (اياك نعبد) مخاطبة الله عزوجل (واياك نستعين) مثله (اهدنا الصراط المستقيم) قال الطريق ومعرفة الامام
Narrated to me my father, from Mohammad bin Abi Umayr, from al-Nazr bin Saweed, from Abi Baseer, from Abi Abdillah Imam Sadiq (as),
About the saying of Allah (swt) "الحمد لله - Praise be to Allah (swt)", Imam (as) said, "Thanks be to Allah (swt)".
About "رب العالمين - The lord of the worlds", Imam (as) said, "He created the creations".
About "الرحمن – The most Gracious", Imam (as) said, "For all the creations".
About "الرحيم – The most Merciful", Imam (as) said, "Specially for the believers".
About "مالك يوم الدين – The master of the day of Judgment", Imam (as) said, "The day of Judgment. And the proof for that is the saying of Allah (swt), "They will say, "Ah! Woe to us! This is the Day of Judgment".
About "اياك نعبد – You we worship", Imam (as) said, "Addressing Allah (swt)".
About "واياك نستعين – And Your help we seek", Imam (as) said, similar to it [i.e. Addressing Allah (swt)]
About "اهدنا الصراط المستقيم – Keep us on the straight path", Imam (as) said, "It is the path and it is knowing (ma'refat of) the Imam (as)."

قال وحدثني ابي عن حماد عن ابي عبدالله عليه السلام في قوله الصراط المستقيم قال هو امير المؤمنين عليه السلام ومعرفته والدليل على انه امير المؤمنين قوله وانه في ام الكتاب لدينا لعلي حكيم وهو امير المؤمنين عليه السلام في ام الكتاب وفي قوله الصراط المستقيم
Narrated to me my father, from Hammad, from Abi Abdillah Imam Sadiq (as),
About "الصراط المستقيم– The straight path", Imam (as) said, "It is Amir al-Momineen (as) and to know him (Ma'refat) and the proof that it refers to Amir al-Momineen (as) is the saying of Allah (swt), "And verily, it is in the Mother of the Book (Umm al-Kitab), in Our Presence, high (in dignity), full of wisdom" [43:4] and it is Amir al-Momineen (as) in the Mother of the Book (Umm al-Kitab) and in the saying of Allah (swt), "The straight path".
