Chapter: 67, Verse: 22

محمد بن يعقوب: عن علي بن محمد، عن بعض أصحابنا، عن ابن محبوب، عن محمد بن الفضيل، عن أبي الحسن الماضي (عليه السلام)، قال: قلت: { أَفَمَن يَمْشِي مُكِبّاً عَلَىٰ وَجْهِهِ أَهْدَىٰ أَمَّن يَمْشِي سَوِيّاً عَلَى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ }؟ قال: “إن الله ضرب مثلا من حاد عن ولاية علي (عليه السلام) كمن يمشي على وجهه، لا يهتدي لأمره، و جعل من تبعه سويا على صراط مستقيم، و الصراط المستقيم أمير المؤمنين (عليه السلام)

Narrated from Abu al-Hasan Imam Musa Kazim (عليه السلام):

I (the narrator) then asked the Imam (عليه السلام) about the meaning of the words of Allah. "Is he who walks upon his face more rightly guided or the one who walks upright upon a straight path?" (67:22)

The Imam (عليه السلام) said, "Allah has compared those who deviate from the Mastership (Wilayah) of Imam Ali (عليه السلام) to those who walk upon their faces without being guided to His command. And has compared those who follow Him (i.e. Imam Ali ع) with those who walk upright on the straight path. And the straight path is Amir al-Momineen (عليه السلام)."
