حدثنا إبراهيم بن محمد بن فارس النيسابوري، قال: لما هم الوالي عمرو بن عوف بقتلي، وهو رجل شديد، وكان مولعا بقتل الشيعة، فأخبرت بذلك، وغلب علي خوف عظيم، فودعت أهلي وأحبائي وتوجهت إلى دار أبي محمد (عليه السلام) لأودعه، وكنت أردت الهرب فلما دخلت عليه رأيت غلاما جالسا في جنبه كأن وجهه مضيئا كالقمر ليلة البدر، فتحيرت من نوره وضيائه، وكاد أن أنسى ما كنت فيه من الخوف والهرب

فقال: يا إبراهيم، لا تهرب. فإن الله تبارك وتعالى سيكفيك شره فازداد تحيري، فقلت لأبي محمد (عليه السلام): يا سيدي، جعلني الله فداك من هو وقد أخبرني بما كان في ضميري؟

فقال: هو ابني وخليفتي من بعدي وهو الذي يغيب غيبة طويلة ويظهر بعد امتلاء الأرض جورا وظلما فيملأها قسطا وعدلا. فسألته عن اسمه فقال (عليه السلام) هو سمي رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله) وكنيه ولا يحل لأحد أن يسميه أو يكنيه بكنيته إلى أن يظهر الله دولته وسلطنته فاكتم يا إبراهيم ما رأيت وسمعت منا اليوم إلا عن أهله فصليت عليهما وآبائهما وخرجت مستظهرا بفضل الله تعالى، واثقا بما سمعت من الصاحب (عليه السلام)

فبشرني علي بن فارس بأن المعتمد قد أرسل أبا أحمد أخاه وأمره بقتل عمرو، فأخذه أبو أحمد في ذلك اليوم وقطعه عضوا عضوا، والحمد لله رب العالمين

Narrated from Ibrahim bin Muhammad bin Faris Nishapuri,

"When the governor Amro bin Auf planned to kill me, and he was a man of extreme hate, bent on killing the Shias, so when I came to know about it, I became terrified. I bid farewell to my family and my loved ones and went to the house of Abu Muhammad Imam Askari (عليه السلام) to bid farewell to him also and then I had decided to run away. When I came to Him, I saw a little boy sitting beside Him whose face was as illuminated as a full moon. I was so startled by His light (noor) & brightness that I almost forgot my own issue."

The Boy said to me, "O Ibrahim, Don’t run away, indeed Allah (تبارك وتعالى), will save you from his mischief. I got more startled, and I asked Abu Muhammad Imam Askari (عليه السلام), “O my Master, may Allah make me sacrificed for You, who is that Boy, who has informed me of that which was in my heart/mind?

Imam Askari (عليه السلام) replied, "He is My Son and My Successor after Me, and He shall disappear for a long time and He will reappear after the earth is full of injustice and oppression, and He will fill it with justice and equity."

I (the narrator) asked Him about His name.

Imam Askari (عليه السلام) replied, "His name & Kunniyat is same as that of the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله) and it is not allowed for anyone to mention Him by his name or Kunniyat till Allah reveals His empire and His authority. So, O Ibrahim, keep concealed what you have seen and heard today from Us, from all except those who are worthy of it."

Ibrahim (the narrator) says, "I invoked blessings upon both of them and their forefathers and came out from there pleased with the grace of Allah and being firm on what I had heard from the Master (عليه السلام)"

So Ali bin Faris gave me the good news that al-Motamid had sent Abu Ahmed his brother and ordered him to kill Amro, so Abu Ahmed took him on that day and cut off his limbs, and Praise be to Allah Lord of the worlds.
