حدث إبراهيم عن أبي حمزة عن مأمون الرقي قال كنت عند سيدي الصادق (ع) إذ دخل سهل بن حسن الخراساني فسلم عليه ثم جلس فقال له يا ابن رسول الله لكم الرأفة والرحمة وأنتم أهل بيت الإمامة ما الذي يمنعك أن يكون لك حق تقعد عنه وأنت تجد من شيعتك مائة الف يضربون بين يديك بالسيف فقال له (ع): اجلس يا خراساني رعى الله حقك، ثم قال: يا حنفية اسجري التنور فسجرته حتى صار كالجمرة وابيض علوه، ثم قال: يا خراساني قم فاجلس في التنور، فقال الخراساني: يا سيدي يا ابن رسول الله لا تعذبني بالنار أقلني أقالك الله، قال: قد أقلتك، فبينما نحن كذلك إذ أقبل هارون المكي ونعله في سبابته فقال: السلام عليك يا ابن رسول الله، فقال له الصادق: الق النعل من يدك واجلس في التور. قال: فألقى النعل من سبابته ثم جلس في التنور، وأقبل الامام يحدث الخراساني حديث خراسان حتى كأنه شاهد لها ثم قال: قم يا خراساني وانظر ما في التور. قال: فقمت إليه فرأيته متربعا فخرج الينا وسلم علينا، فقال له الامام: كم تجد بخراسان مثل هذا؟ فقلت: والله ولا واحدا فقال (ع): لا والله ولا واحدا اما انا لا نخرج في زمان لا نجد فيه خمسة معاضدين لنا نحن أعلم بالوقت

Narrated from Mamoon al-Riqqi who said,

I was in the presence of my Master Imam Sadiq (عليه السلام), when a Khorasani man entered, he greeted the Imam and sat down.

The Khorasani man said, "O son of the Messenger of Allah! Grace and mercy are for you. And You are the Household of Imamate. So, what stops you from taking what is rightfully yours? Why do you hold back from it, when you can find one hundred thousand of your followers fighting in front of you with the sword?"

The Imam replied, "Sit down, O Khorasani, may Allah protect your rights."

The Imam said, "O Hanafiyah, (Imams servant) light the furnace/oven."

So he lit the oven until it became like coal its top turned white.

Then, the Imam said, "O Khorasani! Stand up and sit inside the oven."

So the Khorasani said, "O my master, O son of the Messenger of Allah, do not punish me with the fire, spare me, may Allah spare You."

The Imam said, "I have spared you."

While we were like this, Harun al-Makki came forth, and he was carrying his shoes with his index finger & He said, "Salutations be upon you, O son of the Messenger of Allah!"

So Imam as-Sadiq (عليه السلام) said to him, "Put down your shoes, and sit in the oven."

So Harun al-Makki let go his sandals and sat in the furnace.

Then, the Imam began talking to the Khorasani about Khorasan in such detail that it was as though he had seen it.

Then, the Imam said, "O Khorasani, look inside the oven."

So he went to it, and he saw Harun al-Makki sitting cross legged. Then, Harun al-Makki came out to us and greeted us.

So the Imam said, "How many people are there like him in Khorasan?"

The Khorasani said, "By Allah, not one. No, by Allah, not even one."

The Imam said, "Verily, we are in a period of time in which we cannot find five true supports for Us. We are more knowing of the time."
